RAE 2001: 5, 5, 5!

Our research efforts across the Faculty of Biological Sciences are described on the pages of the Faculty Research web site. As part of this major interdisciplinary commitment to the Life Sciences, we maintain our position as one of the leading centres in the country for research in the Biological Sciences. The activities of 57 members of the School were submitted as part of the Research Assessment Exercise in April 2001. The three Units of Assessment (UoA) to which our School staff contributed have all scored 5.

Biochemistry Research within the School of Biochemistry & Microbiology was assessed as part of the national Research Assessment Exercise in 1996. Our rating was 5 (A).
