This session considers the fates of the lipid components of the diet after absorption. It will cover:
- types of lipids found in the diet
- revision of lipid transport
- fatty acid oxidation
- ketone body synthesis
- cholesterol - sources, synthesis, and the role of cholesterol in heart disease
