Teachingbiochemistry and microbiology teaching support
The School is involved in the teaching of degrees in Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Microbiology at undergraduate level, and supports other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching through provision of course modules. Our teaching was assessed in November 1999; our QAA score is 23 out of a possible 24. In this section you will find outlines of the undergraduate Degree programmes and links to supplementary module information provided within the School. If you are interested in joining the School, matters concerning Admissions are covered elsewhere. Students are encouraged to use the links in the virtual Nathan Bodington Building to find additional on-line resources to support their learning, and to make full use of the electronic facilities provided by University Library. Some of the useful pages provided on the University web site have also been gathered together locally on a links page. Additional pages that students may find useful include Dr Fry's WorkLinks page, with advice and resources for job hunting and study abroad; the Staff Index, to help identify or contact your teaching staff; the weekly Research Seminars (at which 3rd year undergraduates are expected to attend); and the pages of the Leeds University Union Biochemistry Society, "the club run for Biochemists by Biochemists" !
